Make a wide video vertical

For YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels and TikTok. The frame follows faces, so nobody gets cut off.

Steps

1. Open “Make it vertical” and drop a wide video.
2. Choose the shape (9:16, 1:1, 4:5) and what to keep (follow faces, centre, or a place). The kept frame shows over the picture.
3. Press “Make”. Following faces downloads a small face finder the first time.
4. Check the result and “Save to device”.

Questions

What if several people are in shot?

It follows the largest face, and moves smoothly when that changes.

Can I add captions?

Yes: transcribe and caption in the studio. Making it vertical first, then captioning, works best.

Is my video uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser, on your computer. No install, no account.
